Overview
This position is a hands-on manager that oversees and performs production operations including manufacturing, maintenance, inventory, quality, and personnel.
The primary goal of this position is to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The ideal candidate will own the entire production process.
Job Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 lbs, frequently throughout the day in a manufacturing environment.
Provide leadership and direction to production associates.
Maintain a safe production environment
Monitor workflow, staffing, and resources to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery expectations are met.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing requirements.
Identify operational challenges or bottlenecks and implement solutions.
Support and identify continuous improvement initiatives.
Must maintain operations within all applicable safety standards.
Train Production Associates in manufacturing responsibilities.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through training, communication, and accountability.
Investigate safety incidents, quality issues, or operational disruptions and implement corrective actions.
Communicate production updates, challenges, and operational needs to upper management.
Maintain accurate documentation related to operations, compliance, and ISO requirements.
Will monitor and review KPIs (key process indicators) with upper management.
Must be willing and able to perform all duties of a Production Associate as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Previous supervisory or managerial experience within a manufacturing environment required.
Experience in rubber or plastics manufacturing processes preferred.
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
High degree of concentration with attention to detail.
Positive attitude, high energy, and motivated.
Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is preferred.
Ability to manage deadlines and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
Must be proficient in all office related software and computer skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP software systems is preferred.
Overview
To perform activities regarding compounding, weighing, mixing, processing, and packaging of materials and safe operation of equipment throughout the facility.
Job Responsibilities

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 55 lbs, frequently throughout the day in a manufacturing environment.
Required to wear proper protective equipment including a dust mask throughout the day.
Must have basic reading, math, computer, and measurement skills required.
Must have good communication skills, with the ability to carry out written and verbal instruction.
Inspect and test scales for accuracy and operate equipment according to standard procedures.
Check all raw materials for proper identification and possible contamination.
Must weigh chemicals and ingredients precisely every single time. Attention to detail is critical.
Load raw materials into the mixer and mix in accordance with schedule and related work instructions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Report any problems immediately to supervision and participate in solutions to those problems.
Safety is critical. Must verify that area and equipment are safe before proceeding with duties.
Keep equipment in safe operating condition, report problems to the maintenance personnel.
Package final products into boxes or skids as defined by customer requirements.
Operate the fork lift to move products in and out of the production area.
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Maintain a positive attitude towards all coworkers and customers.
Perform any other project/task as assigned by your supervisor or management.
